Senior Network Engineer to provide both pre-sales and post-sales support to develop business for  USG customers in Washington DC Metro Area. Focus is on providing subject matter expertise for design, implementation and operation of customer enterprise networks, particularly classified networks. Position is in support of a customer in the Northern Virginia area.  Position is for a  systems engineer to assist with a variety of platforms, applications and unique computer based tools to support the customers "mission oriented" IT requirements.  The successful candidate will work individually and on project teams to solve the customers technical problems with integrated computer based solutions.   The candidate will be exposed to and must be adaptable to work with a variety of OS environments, applications, tools (e.g. VMWare, Collaboration Tools, Email, etc.).  Experience administering Unix, Linux and Windows based application server environments and associated scripting languages is a must (e.g. Java, Perl, ActiveX, etc.).  A working knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Oracle will be extremely helpful.  Candidate must be strong in analytical thinking and must have strong documentation, writing and communications skills to document changes/updates on the systems supported.

The Program is a professional services effort that provides O&M, R&D, & Telecommunications Services to a customer in Northern Virginia. The program staff is comprised of 32 technical and business professionals. 

Position is for a systems and software engineer "IT generalist" to assist with a variety of platforms, applications and unique computer based tools to support the customers "mission oriented" IT requirements.

Major Responsibilities

• Assist customers with full life cycle Enterprise Web deployment including Plumtree products, collaboration, application integration, and content management technologies.

Job Description

The DoD Energy Awareness and Management Center is a project exploring the application of service-oriented architectures as the platform for the collection, analysis, trending and reporting of energy usage from military installations across the US. This role will define the meter data acquisition and storage business requirements and will help design the meter data capture process for the Meter Data Management application that will be the focal point for the project.  The position will also act as primary solution owner for the project and will be a key customer contact and liaison throughout the project

Principal Responsibilities:

The Sr. Consultant / Sr. Business Analyst will be in the role of a MDM Subject Matter Expert in determining and documenting the MDM data collection processes, including extraction-transformation-loading (ETL) and validation-editing-estimation (VEE) processes.

Function in the role of a Solution Owner for the DEAMC team maintain the backlog of implementation stories/needs.

Facilitate and document the business requirements for the implementation of the Meter Data management system.

Lead or participate in focus group sessions to determine business process or technical requirements.
